THE HELMET
The idea of the helmet began in 1990 after watching a Michael Jackson performance video, where MJ wore a helmet to obscure his identity from the public. In 1993, HDLF would discover Daft Punk, a French electronic duo who also adopted a similar approach, by using masks and then their iconic helmets to conceal their faces and maintain anonymity.
The first version of the helmet was crafted back in 2010, through a process called Thermoforming which took nearly 3 years to complete and inspired multiple copies and experimental versions.
Years later, a fully digital 3D model was designed, rendered, and 3D printed. A process that took about 1 year to complete, bringing the original vision into its modern and refined form.
The helmet symbolizes the legacy House de la Funk is proud to carry. Behind its glow lies a deep respect for the mentors who influenced his path, taught him discipline, and fueled his creativity. Every performance is a celebration of their impact. By wearing the helmet, he honors their work and keeps their spirit alive in every beat, every song, and every mix.
House de la Funk also expanded his brand in 2020 by launching an online store, www.CoolDesigns.us. The shop features digital music and exclusive merchandise, including apparel and accessories inspired by his signature style and artistic identity. www.CoolDesigns.us gives fans a new way to connect with the House de la Funk experience beyond the music.
In 2024, House de la Funk launched his own independent record label, HDLF RECORDS. Created as a platform for artistic freedom and innovation, the label focuses on delivering high-energy house music with a signature funk-infused sound. HDLF RECORDS represents House de la Funk’s commitment to creative independence and his vision to release music that stays true to his artistic identity.
